Spice of Life

This one has a few layers. The song is essential about heartbreak, and a relationship[ gone sour. It is a bit of a personal tale. It also has reference to three different books in it, in this order. The Great Gatsby, Family Happiness, and Dune. I garnished music from different sources for all three stanzas types.

She smiled at me, it was an initial sign

An invitation, to be by her side

Could I get the courage to speak my mind,

I didn’t matter, I lost my words in her eyes.

.

Do do, dodo do do

Doooooooo dododo

Do do, dodo do do

Dooooooo dododo

And we shared our bliss,

She played her song on piano,

And we shared the music we loved,

But my cold a distant ways,

Drove her into the glamour that is popularity

In the city, in the high crowds,

She was awed and adored,

So we split ways, and she lost herself in the

Deceit, which is snob appeal.

So I called her late one night,

To put everything right,

Her mom answered, and we began to fight,

The future, was not to bright

The fish spoke to me

The spice addiction rose in me

The journey couldn’t comfort me

I looked away from the place I was too scarred to see

And I gave water, for the dead.
